dates are available. Is this always correct?

A.Yes. We always take care to update the availability calendar when
we receive a customer's deposit payment.
Q. I see some dates on the availability chart are showing as
unknown. What does this mean?
A. This usually means that someone has completed a booking form
and we am holding the dates while we await their payment.
Q. What is the changeover day?
A. We do not have a specific changeover day. We try to accommodate
your timetable so you can take advantage of any flight offers.
Q. The period I want to book runs into a higher price band so how do
I calculate the rent?
A. Calculate the rent on a pro rata basis.
Q. I have completed the booking form. Does this mean the booking
is now safe?
A. The booking is not confirmed until we have received your
deposit. However, once you have completed the form I will hold
the space to give you a chance to pay the deposit and make travel
arangements. If you have paid with Paypal your booking is safe and
will be confirmed when I next check my e-mails.
Q. How will I find the way to the property?
A. Once you have paid in full I will send you the full address,
clear directions, phone numbers and all the information you will
need.
Q. Can I cancel my booking with you?
A. Not once you have paid the deposit. For this reason I would
suggest you take out a travel insurance policy.

Q. Is Drvenik worth a visit?
A. Yes and it costs less than £1.20 to get there on the ferry.

Q. What ferries leave from Trogir?
A. Only the one to

Q. I have heard Krka National park is beautiful is this true?
A. Yes, have a
look at the website.
Q. How can I get to Krka?
A. There are regular coaches to
Sibenik which take about an hour. From the coach station
there is a connection to the park which takes less than 30 minutes.
Alternatively it is possible to book a tour from an agency like

Q. Where can I see brown bears, grey wolves, olms and
lynx running wild in Croatia?
A. All of the above can be found at plitvice Lakes National park
"The land of the falling lakes".
Q. What is an olm?
A. An olm is a rare
cave salamander that has no eyes or pigmentation,
small fins on its head that are gills as well as lungs, can breath
through its skin, go for years without eating and hunt bacteria,
protozoa and fish by tuning into electrical currents. Also known as
human fish because it can live for over 100 years.
Q. How long does it take to drive from Zadar to Trogir?
A. About one and a half hours.
Q. How long does it take to drive from Trogir to Dubrovnic?
A. Under three hours.
Q. Are there any excursions available from Trogir?
A. Yes, portal have quite a good selection.
Car hire.
A. It is worth considering car hire. Although you have shops,
bars, restaurants and beaches within a few minutes walk, Trogir is about
40 minutes walk. There is a local bus but it is not reliable during
the main season due to the traffic on the bridge. There is now a
ferry in operation that takes about twenty minutes and cost around
one pound.
Q. Where is the best place to hire a car?
A. Split Airport. It is only a few minutes by bus or taxi from
Trogir and there are many companies in competition. It seems to be
cheaper to hire in Croatia rather than booking over the internet
before you arrive. We always use Unirent.

Q. What currency is used in Croatia?
A. Croatian kuna. Today's rate is

Q. Do I need to take local currency with me?
A. It's not really necessary. There are ATM machines at Split
airport and plenty in Trogir. Most of the restaurants and shops
take credit cards.
Q. What number must I phone if I have an emergency?
A. 112. This number can be dialled on any land line or
mobile phone free of charge, anywhere in EU and many other
countries. It should connect you to someone who can speak
English.
Q. What if I need medical care?
A. Britain has a reciprocal medical arrangement whereby,
in principal, you should not have to pay for any emergency
treatment. It is therefore useful to wave your passport first and
mention this. Travel health insurance is the safest bet.
Q. What language do the locals speak?
A. Croatian is the main language.
English is widely spoken, especially among the young. The
older generation often speak Russian, German or Italian.
Q. Where can I eat and drink in Trogir?
A. Choose
from over 100 places.
Q. Which is the best local beach?
A. There are four to
choose from.
Q. Is there a sandy beach nearby?
A. Yes, on the island on Drvenik Mali (Mali means small).
The island can be reached from Trogir by ferry and you can walk from
there to the little inlet of Vela Rina where you will find a
beautiful sandy beach.
